A 107-project catalogue for a Tokyo design studio

PROJECTS is the core of the site. It opens as a continuous grid of thumbnails, each captioned with producer and project name: SANGETSU / ATTRACTIVE MOMENT 2024, PROVIGATE / BLOOD GA ANALYSER, HACOA / FRAME CLOCK. The caption alone shows the range — furniture factories, medical equipment, audio hardware.

The catalogue splits into four bodies of work — FURNITURE, PRODUCT, SPACE and OTHERS — and each one carries three independent filter axes with live counts: producer, year and object type. Type goes down to the item itself: Chair, Sofa, Shelf, Clock, Shoehorn, Wind chime, Medical Device. Filters combine and stay in the URL, so any selection can be shared as a link.

The design keeps only what is needed: generous margins, a quiet grid, almost no rules or borders, all contrast handed to the photography. Typography was tuned for Japanese and Latin at once — letter-spaced Latin headings, Japanese body text on line heights that suit it.

The front end is hand-written, with no page builder and no heavy libraries. Images load on scroll in modern formats and catalogue filtering runs without page reloads. Every project carries its own title, description, Open Graph data and structured markup. Publishing a new project is a single admin form: images, year, producer, type.
